My favorite children's books are T. Veg: The Carrot Crunching Dinosaur and What’s for Lunch? because they promote healthy eating, a positive relationship with traditional foods, and appreciation for diverse identities.

My greatest inspiration are my kids. I get to see how brave they are at trying new things, making new friends and showing empathy towards others. It makes me proud and makes me strive to be a better mom for them.

My hobbies and interests include hot yoga and Pilates, going on walks with my family, and traveling.

Ever since I was a kid, I have always known that I wanted to be a pediatrician. This dream was solidified in high school when I shadowed a pediatrician. I remembered a child coming into the office hurt. The pediatrician helped him and by the end of the office visit, he was laughing and skipping out of the office. I knew that was what I wanted to do with my life.

The decisions I make in the office visits are often a collaboration between the parents and I to make the right decision for the child and the family. It's not a one size fits all treatment plan. There is a lot to account for - environment, personality, barriers, etc. I can only see what is in front of me at the time of the office visit. The parents have tons more valuable information that they pick up day to day at home, school, in front of friends. I listen to all the parent's concerns, discuss what I see and we both make a plan that works best for the child and the family.
