Child Sick Visits In East Windsor, NJ
Appointments for sick visits are always scheduled on the same day. If you feel your child needs to be seen, let the receptionist know so that that she may schedule the visit. The office remains open until the last patients are seen. However, the telephones are switched over to the answering service at the end of regular hours. If you have been given an appointment after hours and cannot make it please call via the answering service so that the doctor isn’t waiting for you.
Our waiting room is divided into sick and well sections to help prevent the spread of contagious diseases. If you think your child has chicken pox please let the receptionist know so that she may arrange a room immediately.

If your child is ill, we will do whatever we can to guarantee that your child sees one of our providers as quickly as possible. We have strategically organized our schedule each day to allow for urgent and same-day sick child needs for our patients.
We know that it can be challenging to know when to bring your child in for care or when you may need to rush to the ER. We can diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, injuries, and diseases right here in our office; however, if your child is dealing with a serious or life-threatening problem, it’s important that you call 911 or immediately go to the nearest emergency room. Reasons for a sick-child visit include,
- A fever that is higher than 100.4 F for children under 2 months, or fever at or over 104 F in older children (as well as fevers that last more than two days)
- Abdominal pain
- Ear infection
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Painful or severe rash
- Broken bones
- Bad fall or accident
- Issues swallowing
- Persistent or intense headaches or migraines
Dehydration, concussions, severe bleeding, and other serious issues are best handled at an emergency room; however, most everyday illnesses and injuries can be treated by our team of pediatricians right here at our East Windsor, NJ, practice.
