Locations, services & appointments
Regular hours: Our offices are open for well and sick care from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The East Windsor office is also open for sick care from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Telehealth visits: Telehealth visits are available on select weekday evenings from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please call your Healthy Kids Pediatric Group office to confirm availability and schedule an appointment.

In addition to English, many of our providers and staff speak other languages, including Bengali and Spanish. You can search for providers by language when you find a pediatrician on our website.
Yes! As a patient of Healthy Kids Pediatric Group, your child can be seen at any of our 3 locations for whatever reason. However, we do recommend that you select a home office where your primary care provider (PCP) is based.
Yes, we do accept walk-ins. We also offer same-day appointments and telehealth visits for convenient care.
Existing Healthy Kids patients can schedule a well or sick visit online with exceptions below*. It’s important to note that you must enter your child’s name exactly as it appears in our records to access online scheduling (no nicknames or alternate names).
You can schedule a shot-only appointment by calling your Healthy Kids Pediatric Group office.
You can schedule well visits up to one year ahead of time.
We strive to get you in and out of the office as quickly as possible while providing the best possible care. If it’s a particularly busy day with a lot of sick visits or emergencies, you may have to wait longer. If you are not committed to a particular provider, you can request an appointment with the first available provider instead. To avoid waiting, the best time to schedule your visit is first thing in the morning or first thing after lunch.

Sick care
Yes, all sick children will be seen on the same day if possible. Every attempt will be made to schedule you with your primary care provider (PCP) at your home office or another provider at that location. If there is no availability, you may be offered another location or a telehealth visit.
If your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911. Otherwise, if your child is sick, always call your home office first. Our East Windsor location is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for sick visits. However, many issues can be resolved by home care or a telehealth visit. (Telehealth visits are available from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on select weekday evenings – please call to confirm availability and schedule an appointment.)
Gather the following details (consider writing them down so you remember everything!):
Your child’s age
What you are concerned about
Your child’s state of alertness (if you are concerned about lack of responsiveness, call 911 for emergency care)
How long the problem has been going on and if it is getting worse
What you have done about your child’s illness
Your child’s temperature
Your child’s intake of fluids and output of urine and stool
Your contact phone number(s), so we can call you back if necessary
Our East Windsor office has separate sick and well waiting areas. Please comply with the posted signs and sit in the appropriate section.
Well visits
Unless your child is sick, children over age 3 are generally seen once a year for their annual check-up. The easiest way to remember is to always schedule a visit around their birthday.
During your child’s first year of life, well visits are scheduled 3 days after birth and at 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months.
During your child’s second year, well visits are scheduled at 15 months, 18 months, and 24 months.
During your child’s third year, well visits are scheduled at 30 months and 36 months.
In the interest of continuity of care, we encourage you to schedule well visits with your child’s primary care provider (PCP). If your child is sick, we cannot guarantee your provider will be available or on the schedule that day.
Telehealth
A telehealth visit is a video conference with a credentialed pediatric provider. Based on certain qualifying conditions, your child may be eligible for a telehealth visit in place of an in-office visit.

Telehealth visits are available on select weekday evenings from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Yes, we can treat many minor illnesses, injuries, and other health concerns virtually. We start by asking specific questions about your child’s medical history, then use the video connection as a tool to observe your child in real time. In many cases, this is enough to make a diagnosis and develop a care plan. Your telehealth provider also has full access to your child’s medical records and can prescribe medication(s).
If an in-person visit is needed for any reason, we’ll help you schedule one to ensure that your child receives a complete evaluation.
It’s best to conduct telehealth visits in a private, quiet, and well-lit part of your home with a stable internet connection. Turn off any televisions and put pets in another room to minimize distractions. For safety and to ensure the best quality of care, never conduct a telehealth visit while in a moving vehicle.
You should prepare just like you would for an in-office visit, jotting down any questions or concerns ahead of time. We recommend logging in a few minutes early to resolve any technical issues. Your child (the patient) must be present for the visit. Please also have your child’s medication list and any other pertinent information close by.
Yes, you’ll receive both a text message and an email confirming your child’s appointment details. These reminders help ensure you have everything you need in advance, including the date, time, and instructions for joining the telehealth visit.
Existing Healthy Kids patients do not have to pay any fees up front. Your insurance company will be billed first, then you are responsible for any portion the insurance company does not cover. For self-pay patients, a telehealth visit costs $59.
Requests for forms, records, refills & referrals
If your child has not been seen for the condition for which you are requesting a referral, you must schedule an appointment at our office first. If you need a referral for a follow-up visit for a condition your child has already been seen for, you can use the patient portal to make your request. Our office will contact you when your referral is complete, usually within 5-7 business days.
Call our office and let them know which medication(s) you need refilled, along with the phone number for your pharmacy. You can also request medication refills on the patient portal.
Parents and other requesters can use the patient portal for instant access or call our office to request medical records. The records are typically ready within 24-48 hours, although certain types of records may take a week or longer. Paper requests can also be made by downloading and filling out our Medical Records Request Form and bringing it to our office.
Please contact our office or visit the patient portal to make your request. Your form will be completed within 3-5 business days.
Contact the provider’s office you are transferring from and request that the records be released to the Healthy Kids Pediatric Group office you are moving to.
Patient portal
You can schedule and manage office appointments, access your child’s medical records — including visit summaries, lab results, medications, and immunizations — and even pay your bill.
You will receive an email from Healthy Kids Pediatric Group with a username and password to access the portal with any web browser or the healow™ app. (If you don’t see the email, please check your spam folder.) You can customize your password after your initial login.

Your practice code is included at the bottom of the welcome email for your portal account.
Yes, all of your information is secure. You are protected by the username and password/PIN number of your choice as well as industry-standard SSL encryption.

To see all patients under the same account, they must all be listed under the same guarantor. To request this change, please email portal.east@pediatricassociates.com.
Both the patient portal and the healow™ app are free, so you always have convenient access to your child’s medical records and can stay informed about their care.
In the “Appointments” section, click “New Appointment.”
Select the visit reason and your preferred Healthy Kids Pediatric Group location.
You’ll see a list of providers working at your selected location and the next available appointment.
Select the date and time you prefer and add your appointment details.
A 4-digit verification code will be sent to the phone number listed on your account.
Enter the code, then click “Verify and Book.”
You’ll see your appointment details in the “Dashboard” section of the portal.
In the “Medical Records” section, click ‘“Lab Diagnostic Report.’’
In the “Medical Records” section, click “Immunization History.” You will have the option to print your child’s medical records here.
In the “Messages” section, click “Refill Requests.” You will see a list of your child’s current medications. Select the medication you need and click “Refill Request.” If no refills are available, we recommend scheduling an appointment in the “Appointments” section.
A proxy account allows a designated individual to access and manage another person's health information. This type of account is typically used by parents or legal guardians to access their child's records.
In adherence with the Cures Act, parents or legal guardians will receive login credentials that allow them to access information for multiple children with a single login.
Please note: Patients are eligible to have access to their own portal account at age 12+, depending on state regulations.
